Mini Sleeping Beauty Story Tape with Songs

I just picked up there two very cool mini "Story Tape with Songs" booklets, minus the cassette tapes. They look just like the regular, larger 7 inch version, but these are only 5 inches square, and because of the size, they came only with cassettes, not records. The Sleeping Beauty one has a date of 1965 and the Snow White one has a date of 1966. On the inside back cover it lists 12 of these mini "Story Tape with Songs" titles. The first photo shows the size comparison of the mini ones with the regular 7 inch version. The second photo is the back of each. A photo of the inside front page of each. A listing of the other titles in the series. And another photo showing the size comparison.

Blanca Nieves Y Los Siete Enanos

This is the Spanish version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs from Chile,  1966 [STC-9001-X].

I love the cover artwork which manages to get Snow White, the Prince, the seven dwarfs and the woodland creatures all in one great scene.

Something that makes this album a little different is that the cover is just a folded piece of cardboard. The top and bottom of the cover is not sealed like a normal album jacket. This one can just be folded open. The inside is completely blank.

Snow White Cassette Tape

I don't usually look though the cassette tapes at thrift shops, but this one was sitting on the shelve in such a way that it caught my eye while I was walking by. This purchase was a no brainer as cassette tapes in this store are usually 10 cents, and everything in the store was 50% off this day, so I ended up paying 5 cents for this tape.
This particular cassette tape is the soundtrack from Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and is from 1985, manufactured and distributed by Disneyland/Vista Records and Tapes, Burbank, CA.
Back when cassette tapes were a popular format, I never bought them. I was always an LP buyer. I also never bought 8-Tracks, although I remember having a friend who had an 8-Track payer in his car and I always laughed them a song would stop in the middle while the 8-Track changed tracks! No wonder that format failed.

Snow White and The 7 Dwarfs

Here is a cool old 78 I picked up last weekend for 10 cents. When I originally bought it, I was just interested in it because it has a really cool retro label on the center of the record. It wasn't until I got home that I realized it had a recording of Snow White and The 7 Dwarfs with Full Cast & orchestra. It is a Cricket Record from 1953. The reverse side has Tunes For Little People; Little Jack Horner, Little Bo Peep, Little Boy Blue, all with full cast and orchestra.
I am not able to listen to it yet, as my current record player does not play 78's. I know it came with some software to allow me adjust records recoded at regular 33 speed into 78, but I have not used it yet and am not sure how it works without breaking out the manual.
