Fisher Price Record Players

Tonight's post is not directly related to Disneyland Records, but I decided I would share it here anyway.
I recently purchased this Fisher Price record player off of my works buy & sell web site for $15.
I was looking for a record player to put into my bedroom where all my records are. I spend a lot of time looking though my record collection, but was never able to listen to any of them in that room.
This little Fisher Price record player is great. Its very compact and takes up very little space, and sounds amazingly good for something with the Fisher Price logo on it. And... its a fun addition to my record collection.
I also have the younger kids version of the Fisher Price record player as well. And just the other day, my mother was doing some renovations in her home, and found one of the plastic records for the Fisher Price record player under the cabinets in her kitchen. To the average person, that would have been nothing. To me, it was like finding buried treasure in the back yard!
Now, if I can just find a Mickey Mouse record player, my life will be complete.

Not sure how you feel about ebay, but I've seen several Mickey Mouse record Players on sale there lately. I've been looking for one of those FP record Players for my Grandkids to have in their bedroom. Now that I know how good it sounds I'm going to get one for sure.

I too would LOVE one of those Mickey Mouse record players with the big Mickey ears. It would make a great addition to my Disney record collection!
I keep hoping that one day I will walk into a thrift shop and there will be a Mickey Mouse record player sitting among the old Beta machines and broken answering machines. But... so far no luck.

And by the way, if the Mickey Mouse record player was sitting with a Beta machine, I would buy that too ;-)

Just an update. I finally got a Disney Aristocats Record Player for my Grandkids on ebay.
Here's a photo of it:
Disney Aristocats Record Player. However, if you're still looking for the Mickey Mouse player they are still on ebay every week. The ones that work well sell kind of high though.

Here's the ebay search results showing a bunch of the Mickey Mouse Record Players up for sale now:

Love your blog!!!

Dave... that Aristocats Record Player looks very cool. I have never seen one like it before, but would surly love one for my collection!

Is there a logo on the outside lid, or are all the logos on the inside? I saw a Superfriends record player at a local antique shop and noticed that all the pictures were inside, and the cover which is what you would see when it was closed was just plain white - of course it is possible that the logo/picture was on the outside, but fell off at some point over the years?

And thanks for the kind words for my blog. Nice to see someone else beside me is reading it ;-)

keli,
You best bet is to check on ebay, and see what they seem to be going for on there. Check the auctions as they get close to ending or just end to see what the final price is also.

that fisher price record player is great for the fract that you can stick the speed select knob between 33 and 45 and the needle and speaker stay active but the platter doesn't spin so you can move it backwards or forwards by hand and hear loud and clear. get out those beatles albums and research the paul is dead conspiracy for yourself!

What death conspiracy? I saw Paul cleaning tables at the same Burger King that Elvis works at!
